LOCAL ALTERNATIVE
A local and viable alternative to imports
Some 75% of Mitak's castings are currently exported, principally to Europe mostly through
the major OEMs of process equipment. Many of these companies have placed their trust in
Mitak quality, forging relationships which have existed for more than 35 years. Mitak's
components are frequently exported back to South Africa to be put into service in mines in
Africa as part of a completed OEM equipment item.
It is widely known that most mill liners used in Sub-Saharan African mines are sourced from foundries in either Canada, USA or the Far East. Local mining companies would be well- advised to consider that there is now an excellent local supplier in Mitak whose competence and quality are proven by the fact that the world's major mining equipment suppliers use their products, which meet the most stringent international quality standards.
Looking to the future, Mitak will continue to expand its research and development in the field of rod, ball, and FAG mill liners, fully confident that its HCWI products will offer sustained and superior performance in mining and many other industrial sectors, both locally and in mills the world over.
